Starting from the beginning of August 2021, besides contributing by creating letters/art, you can also help out by joining our team:
If you are interested in any of the below positions, please fill out the form below detailing your name, age, school/university if applicable, why you would like the position, and what makes you qualified for the position. You should expect an update on your application within two weeks.
* Note: There are no age limits or requirements for these positions. However, unfortunately, these are all unpaid positions as we do not have the funds to pay individuals.
Social Media Manager (s):
You are responsible for creating posts for Letters to Foster Children Instagram and TikTok. The posts should be bringing awareness to parts of the foster care system and/or other nonprofits supporting children in foster care or about Letters to Foster Children. You should create at least two posts a month (1 TikTok + 1 Instagram Post, 2 TikToks, or 2 Instagram Posts). If you’re able to, please don’t hesitate to create more.
You are expected to be active on Discord and not leave messages unread for at most a week unless there are special circumstances, such as family vacations or personal issues.
Outreach Manager (s):
You are responsible for reaching out to organizations for us to collaborate with to send letters/art to. You should also reach out to volunteer clubs or schools to collaborate with through having those members participate by creating positive letters/art.
You also should contribute to helping send the letters/art out as we send letters/art in batches to the various organizations that work with the children directly. You are expected to compile at least 10 letters/art a month into a folder for sending.
You are expected to be active on Discord and not leave messages unread for at most a week unless there are special circumstances, such as family vacations or personal issues.
Chapter President (s):
You are responsible for creating a Letters to Foster Children chapter in your own community or school. These chapters create letters/art for children in foster care and are able to not only send them to us through email but also work with us to send them physically to local foster care organizations near them.
You are encouraged to send photos from your chapter to be posted on the Letters to Foster Children Instagram.
Furthermore, these chapters are also encouraged to go beyond letters/art with possible meetings/events being raising awareness about the foster care system in their community, creating supportive video messages, or creating gift bags for children in foster care. You'll be provided a document that will help guide you in event planning with examples, and you'll always be free to ask the Founder/CEO or COO for help in creating your event.

Team Volunteer(s):
This position is for those who are not able to commit like outreach managers, social media managers, or chapter presidents but still want to help out.
Your responsibility is to help out at least once a month in some form whether it be creating a social media post, reaching out to find more places we can send our letters/art to, or hosting/organizing events to create letters/art to support children in foster care
You will also have access to the Discord to stay up to date on internal actions.
